Inspector William M. Moher 57 years

Inspector Moher, a 23-year veteran police officer, was a member of the Manchester Police Department. On July 2, 1921, Inspector Moher cornered robbery suspect Oscar Richard in an alley in Manchester. Inspector Moher was shot three times by Richard before Moher was able to mortally wound Richard by shooting him five or six times. On July 3, 1921, Inspector Moher died from his wounds.
